Are We Doing Or Are We Not Doing?
Hello all:
I got a mental sting the other day. A preacher mentioned that there are many “be’s” in the scriptures*. We are to be faithful, be holy, be quiet. We are not to be wicked, envious, and so on.
Yet, there is nothing in the scriptures that allows for one to “be trying”!
Ouch! How many times has someone challenged my actions and I have said, “Well I am trying to do better.”
So much for the trying! Father God, help me to move on to consistently being!
Share what you know about how to do the “be’s” of the scriptures.

I Thessalonians 4:11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
Timothy 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
Hebrews 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
