In bible study earlier this week, there was a discussion about Israel having sinned and having no one “to stand in the gap” (to entreat for mercy) for them before God (See Ezekiel 22:23-31).
In life, we all need someone to stand in the gap for us– when we are busy being foolish, being deceived by Satan, or we are just plain exhausted from life’s everyday events.
If today’s not your turn for needing extra prayer or protection, stand in the gap for someone else. You know we are our brother’s keeper! 🙂
(See http://www.istandinthegap.org as a web resource to help you as you stand in the gap for someone else.)
