Banner: Word of the Day –17

Today’s word is Banner!

One of the names of God is Jehovah-Nissi which is given to mean “The Lord is My Banner”. Moses called God by Jehovah-Nissi in the Old Testamemt when Israel defeated the Amalekites (See Exodus 17:15-16).

Rose Book of Bible Charts, Maps & Timelines. states that Jehovah-Nissi, The Lord is my Banner gives us the victory over the flesh, the world, and the devil (p. 36).

To this I say, “Yes please!”
